Immediate versus staged complete revascularisation in patients presenting with acute coronary syndrome and multivessel coronary disease (BIOVASC): a prospective, open-label, non-inferiority, randomised trial

Roberto Diletti et al.

Summary: Immediate complete revascularisation is non-inferior to staged complete revascularisation in patients with acute coronary syndrome and multivessel disease, and it is associated with a reduction in myocardial infarction and unplanned ischaemia-driven revascularisation.

Fractional Flow Reserve-Guided PCI as Compared with Coronary Bypass Surgery

William F. Fearon et al.

Summary: In this study, FFR-guided PCI for patients with three-vessel coronary artery disease was not found to be noninferior to CABG in terms of the occurrence of a composite of death, myocardial infarction, stroke, or repeat revascularization within 1 year.

Multivessel PCI Guided by FFR or Angiography for Myocardial Infarction

Etienne Puymirat et al.

Summary: In patients with STEMI undergoing complete revascularization, an FFR-guided strategy did not have a significant benefit over an angiography-guided strategy with respect to the risk of death, myocardial infarction, or urgent revascularization at 1 year. However, the findings do not allow for a conclusive interpretation due to wide confidence intervals.
