Transition to adult services experienced by young people with cerebral palsy: A cross-sectional study

Development of a patient journey map for people living with cervical dystonia

Summary: This study developed a cervical dystonia patient journey map (CDPJM) that describes the patient experience from pre-diagnosis to long-term treatment. The results showed that patients often go through multiple visits to different specialists and experience misdiagnosis and lack of understanding of treatment options. Botulinum toxin was identified as the main treatment option, but patients also sought complementary approaches. This journey map can guide healthcare providers in improving their services.
