Multimodal Multi-Head Convolutional Attention with Various Kernel Sizes for Medical Image Super-Resolution

Mariana-Iuliana Georgescu et al.

Summary: We propose a novel multimodal multi-head convolutional attention module for super-resolving CT and MRI scans, which outperforms state-of-the-art attention mechanisms in super-resolution. By jointly processing the CT and MRI scans in a multimodal fashion, our attention module improves the quality of super-resolution results.

Image super-resolution with an enhanced group convolutional neural network

Chunwei Tian et al.

Summary: This paper presents an enhanced superresolution group CNN (ESRGCNN) with a shallow architecture, which fully fuses deep and wide channel features to extract more accurate low-frequency information. The signal enhancement operation in ESRGCNN inherits more long-distance contextual information for resolving long-term dependency. Extensive experiments show that ESRGCNN outperforms the state-of-the-arts in terms of SISR performance, complexity, execution speed, image quality evaluation, and visual effect.

IMDeception: Grouped Information Distilling Super-Resolution Network

Mustafa Ayazoglu

Summary: This paper introduces an efficient single-image super-resolution network called IMDeception, which utilizes the Global Progressive Refinement Module and Grouped Information Distilling Blocks to improve the efficiency and performance of the network. Experimental results show that the proposed network performs on par with state-of-the-art models despite having a limited number of parameters and computational load. Furthermore, the real-time deployment of the network on NVIDIA Jetson Xavier AGX demonstrates its potential.

A Heterogeneous Group CNN for Image Super-Resolution

Chunwei Tian et al.

Summary: Convolutional neural networks (CNNs) have achieved remarkable performance in deep architectures, but they often perform poorly in image super-resolution (SR) in complex scenes. In this article, a heterogeneous group SR CNN (HGSRCNN) is proposed, which leverages different types of structure information to obtain high-quality images. Extensive experiments demonstrate that HGSRCNN has excellent SR performance in both quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Multiattention Generative Adversarial Network for Remote Sensing Image Super-Resolution

Sen Jia et al.

Summary: The article introduces a multiattention GAN (MA-GAN) based on generative adversarial networks for generating high-resolution remote sensing images. The network utilizes pyramid convolutional residual dense, attention-based upsampling, and attention-based fusion modules, as well as a loss function to achieve image super-resolution. Experimental results consistently demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed MA-GAN approach in various remote sensing scenes.
