Study on the effect of N-H-O co-doping on diamond growth and its mechanism under HPHT by FeNi solvent

Zhenghao Cai et al.

Summary: This study successfully synthesized diamonds with nitrogen, hydrogen, and oxygen elements using iron and nickel catalysts. The effects of nitrogen, hydrogen, and oxygen on the catalysts were thoroughly researched. The results provide valuable data for synthesizing diamonds with rich nitrogen, hydrogen, and oxygen content.

Importance of Interfacial Structures in the Catalytic Effect of Transition Metals on Diamond Growth

Jeong Woo Yang et al.

Summary: Ab initio calculations were used to study the interaction between transition metals and diamond surfaces. Results showed that transition metals in the middle of the periodic table prefer one structure, while those on the sides prefer another. Early transition metals tend to form carbides rather than directly interact with the diamond surface.

Mixed type Ib-IIa diamond from a Fe-Mg2Si3O8.5H2O-C system under high pressure and high temperature

Liangchao Chen et al.

Summary: The composition of the crystalline medium affects the formation and properties of diamonds. Increasing the Mg2Si3O8.5H2O content led to higher synthesis pressure and temperature, as well as more nitrogen-vacancy defect centers in the diamond crystal. Type Ib diamonds had uniform nitrogen impurity distribution, while type Ib-IIa diamonds showed significant heterogeneity in nitrogen distribution.

Effect of Ni2O3 on diamond crystal growth in an Fe-Ni-C system under high temperature and high pressure

Peiyang Mu et al.

Summary: Studying the influence of oxygen on the growth and properties of diamond, large single crystals of oxygen-containing diamond were successfully synthesized by adding Ni2O3. The presence of Ni2O3 increased nitrogen content in diamonds, changed the morphology of diamonds, and caused a red shift in Raman peak position.
