Study of Pseudoplastic and Dilatant Behavior of Nanofluid in Peristaltic Flow: Reiner-Philippoff Models

Adeel Ahmad et al.

Summary: This article investigates the effects of pseudoplastic and dilatant behavior of nanofluid on peristaltic flow, along with heat transfer analysis in an asymmetric, non-uniform channel. The Reiner-Philippoff fluid model is used to represent the non-Newtonian characteristics, with detailed discussions on the behavior of various parameters and the heat transfer analysis of dilatants and pseudoplastic fluids.

Summary: This article discusses the thermally developing flow through concentric pipes annular sector duct using the semi implicit method for solving the governing problem. The study found that decreasing the Darcy number and cross section of the duct can shorten the velocity and thermal entrance length.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of thermal conductivity and electric conductivity of nanofluid with variable temperature on flow behavior, including magnetic and thermal radiation effects. The mathematical modeling is conducted and solved using non-dimensional differential equations and finite difference method. The discussions cover the behaviors of velocity, temperature, and concentration profiles due to various parameters in the system.

Viscous dissipation and joule heating effects on forced convection power law fluid flow through annular duct

Farhan Ahmed et al.

Summary: This study numerically analyzed the effects of viscous dissipation and Joule heating on forced convection heat transfer rate of electrically conducting magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) power law fluid flow through an annular duct. It was observed that the effect of viscous dissipation decreases with an increase in the Hartman number, especially for shear thickening fluids.

Flow and heat transport phenomenon for dynamics of Jeffrey nanofluid past stretchable sheet subject to Lorentz force and dissipation effects

Faisal Shahzad et al.

Summary: Literature survey indicates that nanofluids are more efficient for heat transport compared to traditional fluids, especially when graphene nanoparticles are dispersed in ethylene glycol base liquid. Numerical results suggest that increasing the volume fraction of Graphene nanoparticles can enhance the heat transport rate. Additionally, the study shows that the temperature of graphene-EG nanofluid is higher than conventional fluids, making it more important in cooling process, biosensors, and drug delivery.

Summary: This study investigated the effect of magnetic field on heat transfer flow of an electrically conducting magneto-hydrodynamic nano fluid. The simulation was conducted using the SIMPLER method, showing that the Hartman number M and copper nano particles contribution play significant roles in friction factor fRe of the flow.

Fully developed forced convective Jeffrey fluid flow through concentric pipes annular duct

Farhan Ahmed

Summary: The present study investigates the influence of constant pressure gradient on flow and heat transfer rate of Jeffrey fluid through concentric pipes annular sector duct. Simulation results show that increasing the ratio of relaxation to retardation times, lambda, can improve the friction factor under certain conditions, while the forced convective heat transfer rate remains almost constant in the absence of viscous dissipation. Additionally, the effect of viscous dissipation becomes favorable with the increase in Brinkman number, Br, on heat transfer rate for higher value of lambda at specific radius ratio and apex angle of the concentric pipes annular sector duct.
