Dynamic millimeter-wave OAM beam generation through programmable metasurface

Summary: In this paper, a programmable metasurface is proposed to stimulate dynamic multi-mode mmWave vortex beams. By modulating the real-time coding distribution on the metasurface, the generation of mmWave OAM beams with different mode numbers is designed and experimentally verified. This study provides a new perspective for the cross amalgamation of mmWave and multi-mode OAM technologies.

Radiation-Type Programmable Metasurface for Direct Manipulation of Electromagnetic Emission

Summary: This paper presents an innovative design of radiation-type programmable metasurface for dynamic modulation. The results show that the design has efficient power radiation and versatile capabilities such as dynamic beam scanning. Compared to conventional reflective or transmissive programmable metasurfaces, this design has a smaller profile and a higher aperture efficiency.
