SERS-based recyclable immunoassay mediated by 1T-2H mixed-phase magnetic molybdenum disulfide probe and 2D graphitic carbon nitride substrate

Rongyan Wang et al.

Summary: Recently, non-metallic SERS-based immunoassay using mixed-phase magnetic MoS2 and g-C3N4 nanosheets has been developed for the recyclable detection of CA125. The addition of Fe3O4 core promotes the stacking of MoS2 nanoflakes, while the presence of 1T phase enhances the SERS activity. Acid etching converts g-C3N4 to a 2D nanosheet with a high surface area, leading to a significant enhancement factor. The immunosensor shows a limit of detection of 4.96 x 10-4 IU/mL for CA125 and demonstrates great potential in cancer recognition and monitoring.

Summary: This study proposes a new method for quantitative and rapid determination of Aflatoxin B-1 (AFB(1)) content in maize based on Raman spectroscopy. Optimized characteristic wavelength variables were used to establish Support Vector Machine (SVM) detection models, which showed significantly better performance compared to full-spectrum data models. Among the optimized models, the SVM model based on the characteristic wavelength variables optimized by the CARS method performed the best.

Multi-catalysis induced by pulsed discharge plasma coupled with graphene-Fe3O4 nanocomposites for efficient removal of ofloxacin in water: Mechanism, degradation pathway and potential toxicity

He Guo et al.

Summary: The study investigated the degradation of ofloxacin (OFX) using pulsed discharge plasma (PDP) combined with multi-catalysis of graphene-Fe3O4 nanocomposites. It was found that the graphene-Fe3O4 nanocomposites had higher catalytic activity compared to sole Fe3O4, leading to a significant enhancement in the removal efficiency of OFX. The addition of graphene content at 18 wt% showed the highest catalytic activity, achieving a removal efficiency of 99.9% for OFX. Acidic solution and optimal dosage were beneficial for OFX degradation, and the graphene-Fe3O4 nanocomposites exhibited increased stability after multiple uses.
