Summary: The study isolated a strain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa from aquatic habitats in Pakistan and extracted a bioactive blue-green phenazine pigment from it. The extracted pyocyanin exhibited significant antioxidant and antimicrobial activities, showing potential for application as a food colorant and bio-preservative.
