Ileal perforation as an initial manifestation of systemic lupus erythematosus: A case report

Summary: Lupus enteritis presenting as bowel perforation is a rare cause of acute abdomen. Chest X-ray may show gas under the diaphragm indicating bowel perforation. Contrast-enhanced CT scan of the abdomen is the gold standard for diagnosing lupus enteritis with a good prognosis on steroids.
