The sulfated agarans (GSAs) from Gracilaria genus have shown various health benefits including antioxidant, antiviral, antibacterial, prebiotics, anti-tumor, anticoagulant, and antidiabetic activities. This review summarizes the isolation, identification, bioactivity potentials, and applications of GSAs, providing valuable reference for the development of GSAs in functional food and pharmaceutical industry.

Blending alginate fibers with polyester fibers for flame-retardant filling materials: Thermal decomposition behaviors and fire performance
