One-Step Preparation of Highly Stable Copper-Zinc FerriteNanoparticles in Water Suitable for MRI Thermometry

Summary: In this study, copper-zinc ferrite nanoparticles coated with a poly(ethylene glycol) layer were synthesized and embedded into agarose gel, successfully designing a novel temperature-sensitive contrast agent for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The experimental results showed a strong correlation between temperature and image intensity in MR images of the contrast agent under a temperature gradient.

Summary: Magnetic Resonance Imaging thermometry is a useful technique for noninvasively determining tissue temperature, with methods including the use of magnetic particles to influence MR properties. By optimizing MR scan parameters, the change in signal intensity with temperature can be significantly increased based on comparison with experimental data.

Measurement of sub-zero temperatures in MRI using T1 temperature sensitive soft silicone materials: Applications for MRI-guided cryosurgery

Summary: This study demonstrates a strong correlation between the nuclear relaxation time T-1 in soft silicone polymers and temperature, which can be used to monitor temperature changes in MRI. The results show that temperature-dependent changes in MRI intensity can be clearly observed and potentially applied in MRI-guided cryoablation procedures.
