HIIT the Inflammation: Comparative Effects of Low-Volume Interval Training and Resistance Exercises on Inflammatory Indices in Obese Metabolic Syndrome Patients Undergoing Caloric Restriction

Dejan Reljic et al.

Summary: This study compared the effects of different low-volume exercise modalities on inflammation and cardiometabolic outcomes in patients with metabolic syndrome. The results showed that low-volume high-intensity interval training (LOW-HIIT) had the greatest efficacy in improving inflammation, followed by resistance training (1-RT) and whole-body electromyostimulation (WB-EMS).
