Neck vascular lesions in hanging cases: A literature review

Mahmut Asirdizer et al.

Summary: This review investigated the types and rates of vascular injuries in cases of completed hanging and near-hanging. The most commonly defined finding was Amussat's sign, with other signs not being sufficiently recognized. It was suggested to develop international joint autopsy protocols to address proportional differences due to variations in autopsy practices and protocols between countries.
