A Survey on Deep Hashing Methods

Xiao Luo et al.

Summary: Nearest neighbor search is a basic task in fields like computer vision and data mining, and hashing is a widely used method for its efficiency. Deep hashing methods, with the development of deep learning, show more advantages than traditional methods. In this survey, deep supervised hashing and deep unsupervised hashing algorithms are investigated in detail. Additionally, important topics such as semi-supervised deep hashing, domain adaption deep hashing, and multi-modal deep hashing are introduced, along with commonly used datasets and performance evaluation schemes.

Perceptual Image Hashing With Locality Preserving Projection for Copy Detection

Ziqing Huang et al.

Summary: Perceptual image hashing is an effective and efficient method for identifying images in large-scale databases. One of its challenges is finding the right balance between robustness and discrimination. This study proposes a novel hashing method, HLPP, which utilizes Gabor filtering and LPP to improve robustness and discrimination. The results show that HLPP outperforms state-of-the-art algorithms in benchmark databases and copy detection experiments.

Unified Performance Evaluation Method for Perceptual Image Hashing

Xinran Li et al.

Summary: In this paper, a unified performance evaluation method for perceptual image hashing schemes is proposed, which contains six modules and assigns scores to each module using order relationship analysis (ORA). Experimental results demonstrate that this method is practical and effective for evaluating the performance of perceptual image hashing schemes.

Video hashing with secondary frames and invariant moments*

Zhenjun Tang et al.

Summary: In this paper, a novel video hashing method utilizing secondary frames and invariant moments is proposed, achieving good classification performance in experiments. The approach involves constructing secondary frames with 3D discrete wavelet transform and generating hash based on extracted invariant moments. The proposed video hashing shows resistance to digital operations and outperforms compared algorithms in classification.
