Summary: A series of hetero-metal oxide/CNT nanocomposites containing CuO-NiO/CNTs were prepared by hydrothermal and microwave methods. The synergistic effect between heterometal oxides and metal oxide/CNT composites on surface morphology and electrochemical behavior was investigated. The composites exhibited hetero-metal oxide/CNT nanocomposite structure with nanoparticles and nanosheet-like morphology. The CuO-NiO/CNT nanocomposites showed high specific capacitance. The stability study indicated good cycling stability for the prepared composites as electrode material.

Copper oxide nanoleaves covered with loose nickel oxide nanoparticles for sensitive and selective non-enzymatic nitrite sensors

Summary: In this study, an efficient electrochemical detection method for 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) based on AuNPs/rGO and activated carbon (AC) synthesized from local date seeds was reported. The modified electrode exhibited rich active centers and efficient electrochemical reductive activity, leading to better detection of the target analyte. The electrode showed a low detection limit, high sensitivity, wide linear dynamic range, excellent selectivity, repeatability, reproducibility, and storage stability. The developed nanocomposite holds promise for efficient detection of various environmental pollutants using electrochemical approach.

Highly sensitive and selective electrochemical sensor for detecting imidacloprid pesticide using novel silver nanoparticles/mesoporous carbon/hematite ore ternary nanocomposite

Summary: In this study, an electrochemical sensor based on a nanocomposite is reported for the sensitive and selective detection of the pesticide Imidacloprid. The sensor, constructed using Ag nanoparticles deposited on mesoporous carbon and naturally extracted hematite ore, exhibits excellent sensing performance with a wide linear detection range, high sensitivity, and low detection limit. The sensor electrode based on the Ag@Meso-C/Hematite Ore nanocomposite also demonstrates unique selectivity behavior and good reproducibility, repeatability, and storage stability. This sensing system, based on naturally occurring hematite ore, provides a sensitive approach for the detection of various target analytes in chemical sensing studies.
