Sex difference in association between insomnia and cognitive impairment in patients with chronic schizophrenia

Rongrong Zhu et al.

Summary: This study found sex differences in insomnia, cognitive performance, and their association in patients with chronic schizophrenia. Male patients had a lower rate of insomnia and better cognitive performance compared to female patients. Insomnia patients, especially female patients, showed poorer cognitive performance in certain domains.

Rescue of maternal immune activation-induced behavioral abnormalities in adult mouse offspring by pathogen-activated maternal Treg cells

Zhipeng Xu et al.

Summary: Xu et al. developed a new animal model of maternal immune activation using a parasite mimetic, showing that immune and behavioral abnormalities in adult offspring can be reversed by adoptive transfer of regulatory T cells. Notably, pathogen-activated maternal T-reg cells show greater rescue efficacy than those from control donors.
