Three-level atom-field in the context of time-dependent coupling and power-lower potentials

Mariam Algarni et al.

Summary: In the system with time-varying coupling and power-law potentials, the temporal evolution of quantum entanglement and quantum Fisher information is studied. The results show that these quantum measures are sensitive to the physical properties of the field and its coupling to the atom. Remarkably, nonlocal correlation and accurate parameter estimation can be achieved through proper control of physical parameters.

Key for a Hidden Quantum State

V. P. Stefanov et al.

Summary: Quantum trajectories are essential for understanding the evolution of open systems. In this study, we analyze an open cavity mode undergoing multistate quantum jumps due to photon emission and absorption. We prove that among all subtrajectories starting from different photon number states, only one survives in a long single-run evolution. By processing the record of input and output photocounts along with the trajectory duration, we can determine the known random Fock state in the ergodic case.

Squeezed-light-induced quantum phase transition in the Jaynes-Cummings model

Li-Tuo Shen et al.

Summary: Quantum phase transition and quench dynamics in the Jaynes-Cummings model with squeezed light were investigated, where a special unitary transformation was found to remove nonintegrable squeezing interaction. Eigenenergies and eigenstates of normal and superradiant phases were derived analytically, demonstrating a second-order quantum phase transition induced nonlinearly at the phase boundary by squeezed light. Entanglement entropy approached its maximum value as squeezing strength increased in the superradiant phase, and a nonlinear relationship between residual energy and squeezing strength was analytically obtained in quench dynamics.

Excited-state quantum phase transitions

Pavel Cejnar et al.

Summary: The paper reviews the effects of excited-state quantum phase transitions (ESQPTs) in interacting many-body systems with finite numbers of collective degrees of freedom. It classifies typical ESQPT signatures in the spectra of energy eigenstates with respect to the underlying classical dynamics, outlining a variety of quantum systems in which they occur. The thermodynamic and dynamic consequences of ESQPTs, like those in microcanonical thermodynamics, quantum quench dynamics, and in the response to nearly adiabatic or periodic driving are described. Suggestions for generalizations of the ESQPT concept in periodic lattices and in resonant tunneling systems are also mentioned.
