Colloidal Metal-Halide Perovskite Nanoplatelets: Thickness-Controlled Synthesis, Properties, and Application in Light-Emitting Diodes

Clara Otero-Martinez et al.

Summary: Colloidal metal-halide perovskite nanocrystals have gained attention for their exciting properties and tunable emission range. However, they are limited by light-induced halide phase segregation. By controlling the thickness, monolayer nanoplatelets with narrow emission peaks and high radiative recombination can be synthesized, making them ideal for efficient LEDs.

Directing Energy Transfer in Halide Perovskite-Chromophore Hybrid Assemblies

Jeffrey T. DuBose et al.

Summary: Controlling the flow of energy and excited states in nanocrystal-chromophore hybrid assemblies is crucial for their photocatalytic and optoelectronic applications. By studying the interactions in CsPbBr3-Rhodamine B (RhB) hybrid assembly, it was found that a singlet-energy-transfer mechanism is present on a timescale of around 200 ps. The ability to tune optical properties through halide exchange provides a unique platform for tailoring excited-state interactions in perovskite-chromophore assemblies.

Marcus inverted region of charge transfer from low-dimensional semiconductor materials

Junhui Wang et al.

Summary: The authors have revealed the Marcus inverted region for charge transfer from low-dimensional semiconductor materials by measuring charge transfer from single-charge states instead of excitonic states. This unique approach provides a new way to study charge transfer and sheds light on the understanding of this key process in energy conversion.

Efficient light-emitting diodes based on oriented perovskite nanoplatelets

Jieyuan Cui et al.

Summary: Solution-processed planar perovskite light-emitting diodes (LEDs) offer high performance and cost-effective electroluminescent devices suitable for large-area display and lighting applications. LEDs utilizing perovskite nanoplatelets with a high ratio of horizontal transition dipole moments (TDMs) have demonstrated an enhanced light-outcoupling efficiency and achieved a peak EQE of 23.6%, making them highly efficient planar perovskite LEDs.
