Computational method for rapid screening of the metabolites of Pulsatilla chinensis in rats using UHPLC-Q-TOF/MS combined with mass spectrum-based orthogonal projection

Shanshan Su et al.

Summary: To solve the complexity and uncertainty in the metabolism of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), a mass spectrum-based orthogonal projection (MSOP) method was established. This method was applied to study the metabolites of Pulsatilla chinensis (PC) and identified 63 metabolites with their main metabolic pathways. This research is significant for understanding the metabolism of PC.

Insights into stress degradation behavior of gibberellic acid by UHPLC Q-Exactive Orbitrap mass spectrometry

Changling Jiang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the degradation behavior of gibberellic acid (GA3) under different stress factors, such as light, pH, and temperature. Five degradation products were identified, with three produced under ultraviolet photolysis conditions and two isomers formed under alkaline conditions. The results provide practical reference for the safety of agricultural products and guidance for the scientific application of GA3 and storage conditions.

Systematic Screening of Chemical Constituents in the Traditional Chinese Medicine Arnebiae Radix by UHPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap Mass Spectrometry

Lian Zhu et al.

Summary: Arnebiae Radix, a traditional Chinese medicinal herb, has been widely used for the treatment of various skin conditions. A rapid and effective method using UHPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap mass spectrometry was established in this study to identify its chemical constituents. A total of 188 compounds were identified, with 114 of those being reported for the first time. This method lays the foundation for further understanding the active ingredients and quality control of Arnebiae Radix.

Comparative lipidomics profiling of donkey milk with cow and human milk by UHPLC-Q-Exactive Orbitrap Mass Spectrometry

Xinhao Zhang et al.

Summary: The study compared the lipidomics profiles of donkey milk, human milk, and cow milk, revealing differences in phospholipid composition, carbon number, and triglyceride unsaturation. Significant different lipids were found between donkey milk and human milk, as well as between donkey milk and cow milk, involving multiple metabolic pathways. These results provide insights into lipid composition, biosynthesis, and metabolic processes, with potential implications for the development of infant formula milk powder or other milk products.
