A miniaturized fluorescence imaging device for rapid early skin cancer detection

Summary: A miniature portable fluorescence imaging device has been introduced for diagnosing skin cancer, with a coaxial design combining the excitation light source and fluorescence receiver to reduce size and ensure illumination homogeneity. The device was successfully demonstrated to easily distinguish cancer lesions in squamous cell carcinoma mice, showing potential for noninvasive detection of early skin tumors and integration with other diagnostic methods for multiple diagnose of skin tumors.

A Preliminary Study of FTIR Spectroscopy as a Potential Non-Invasive Screening Tool for Pediatric Precursor B Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Summary: This study aimed to establish new biomarkers for early screening of pediatric leukemia by using FTIR spectroscopy, and identified significant differences between BCP-ALL patients and non-neoplasm children in terms of protein structures, peak area ratios, and spectral phase shifts. These promising results suggest that FTIR spectroscopy may have future potential for early screening of BCP-ALL in children.
