Impact of climate change on coastal water quality and its interaction with pollution prevention efforts

Jianzhi Xiong et al.

Summary: The impact of climate change on nearshore coastal water quality and its interaction with pollution prevention efforts remain understudied. This study analyzed the effects of climate change on salinity and concentrations of total nitrogen, total phosphorus, and chlorophyll a in Shenzhen Bay, China. The study found that chlorophyll a was the most sensitive parameter and that sea level rise was a major driver of water quality changes. The responses to climate change varied across the bay, and proposed water infrastructure developments had weakened effects on reducing nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations while accelerating the increase in chlorophyll a concentration.

Analyze the environmental sustainability factors of China: The role of fossil fuel energy and renewable energy

Kashif Raza Abbasi et al.

Summary: This study examines the environmental factors influencing China's CO2 emissions, finding that fossil fuel energy significantly increases CO2 emissions in both the long and short term. GDP increases carbon emissions in the long term but has a negative impact on the environment in the short run. The use of renewable energy has a short-term detrimental effect on CO2 emissions. The results suggest that consuming renewable energy is crucial for achieving sustainable environmental goals.

Density, viscosity, surface tension, and spectral analysis of polyethylene glycol 300+1,2-Propylenediaminebinary liquid mixture

Jiajia Ai et al.

Summary: In this study, the density, viscosity, and surface tension data of a binary liquid mixture of polyethylene glycol 300 (PEG300) and 1,2-propane diamine (1,2-PDA) were systematically measured at temperatures ranging from 293.15 to 318.15 K. The influence of temperature on the physical properties of the mixture was discussed in detail.
