Global solutions to a Keller-Segel-consumption system involving singularly signal-dependent motilities in domains of arbitrary dimension

Youshan Tao et al.

Summary: This manuscript considers the no-flux initial-boundary problem for the migration-consumption system and provides the existence of a weak-strong solution for arbitrary diffusion singularities with suitable initial data. It also presents the conditions for the flux del(u phi(v)) to belong to a reflexive Lebesgue space and for the system to be satisfied in a weak sense. Finally, it derives a statement on global classical solvability in the one-dimensional case under certain conditions on phi.

Global generalized solvability in a strongly degenerate taxis-type parabolic system modeling migration-consumption interaction

Michael Winkler

Summary: This study considers a parabolic problem in smoothly bounded subdomains of Rn with arbitrary n > 1. Under certain assumptions, it is shown that the associated initial-boundary value problem has a global solution in a generalized sense. This extends previous solution theories for this type of problem.

A Result on Parabolic Gradient Regularity in Orlicz Spaces and Application to Absorption-Induced Blow-Up Prevention in a Keller-Segel-Type Cross-Diffusion System

Summary: The Neumann problem for V-t = Delta V - aV + f(x,t) is considered, and a variational approach is used to derive a statement about the boundedness of certain quantities. The result is then applied to the Keller-Segel system.

Chemotaxis and cross-diffusion models in complex environments: Models and analytic problems toward a multiscale vision

N. Bellomo et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on exotic chemotaxis and cross-diffusion models in complex environments, discussing their derivation, characteristics, and potential new models. It also examines analytical problems in applying these models to real-world dynamics and explores research perspectives in a multiscale vision.

An n-dimensional chemotaxis system with signal-dependent motility and generalized logistic source: global existence and asymptotic stabilization

Wenbin Lv et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the global existence of the Keller-Segel model with signal-dependent motility and general logistic term under Neumann boundary conditions in a higher-dimensional smoothly bounded domain. It is shown that the system possesses a global classical solution for certain parameter ranges, converging to a specific equilibrium under additional hypotheses.

Comparison methods for a Keller-Segel-type model of pattern formations with density-suppressed motilities

Kentarou Fujie et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the global existence and occurrence of infinite-time blowups in a fully parabolic system in a smooth bounded domain with no-flux boundary conditions. The study proposes a comparison method to address the issue of degeneracy, which is different from the conventional energy method. It also reveals an intrinsic mechanism that prohibits finite-time degeneracy in any spatial dimension with a generic decreasing gamma function.
