Yi Xiao et al.

Summary: This study found that MSC-Exos derived from MSCs pretreated with ischemic heart extracts can promote angiogenesis and clarify the underlying mechanisms. VEGF levels increased significantly in heart extracts 24 hours after myocardial infarction modeling, while HIF-1α decreased over time. MTT and wound healing assays showed that MSC-Exos pretreated with ischemic heart extracts increased migration and proliferation of HUVECs. Proteomic analysis revealed upregulation of angiogenesis-related proteins in MSCE-Exo.
