Residual pattern, dietary risk assessment and livestock dietary burden of five fungicides on wheat in twelve different regions of China

Ming Zhuang et al.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the dietary risk of pesticide residues in wheat and found that some fungicides may pose long-term health risks to consumers. The exposure risk varied among regions, with higher risk in the northern areas.

The processing factors of canning and pasteurization for the most frequently occurring fungicides and insecticides in apples and their application into dietary risk assessment

Magdalena Jankowska et al.

Summary: The challenge of this comprehensive study was to investigate the influence of high- and low-temperature thermal treatments on fungicides and insecticides in apples, and to apply processing factors for a more realistic dietary risk assessment. The new data may be useful in estimating new threshold residue levels significant in food safety, particularly for children.

Simultaneous determination of glyphosate, glufosinate ammonium and their metabolites in maize and soybean by ultra-performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry

Kuan Wang et al.

Summary: This paper established an analytical method for the simultaneous determination of glyphosate, glufosinate ammonium, and their metabolites in maize and soybean using ultra-performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry. The method showed good separation and recovery rates, and it can accurately detect the target compounds quickly.

Dissipation, Residue, and Dietary Risk Assessment of Bifenthrin, Bifenazate, and Its Metabolite Bifenazate-Diazene in Apples Based on Deterministic and Probabilistic Methods

Peiying Zhao et al.

Summary: A rapid, sensitive, and effective multiresidue analytical method was established to investigate the degradation rate and final residues of bifenthrin, bifenazate, and its metabolite bifenazate-diazene in apples, and the dietary risk of consumers was evaluated. The residues of the compounds in apple samples were determined by LC-MS/MS, and were shown to be below the MRL in China. The probabilistic model results were used as assessment criteria for chronic dietary risk, with the risk to children highlighted as significantly higher than that of the general population.

Establishment of a HPLC-MS/MS Detection Method for Glyphosate, Glufosinate-Ammonium, and Aminomethyl Phosphoric Acid in Tea and Its Use for Risk Exposure Assessment

Yong Wang et al.

Summary: A new method for detecting herbicide residues in tea was developed in this study, which was used to test 780 samples for levels of thre pesticide residues. The results showed that the levels of glufosinate-ammonium, glyphosate, and its metabolite aminomethyl phosphoric acid in tea pose a low health risk to humans.

Summary: The study focused on elucidating the enantiomeric chemistry and enantioselective fate of the novel chiral triazole fungicide mefentrifluconazole, with a particular emphasis on its persistence and potential risks to urban children. Probabilistic models were recommended for dietary risk assessment, with both acute and chronic risks deemed acceptable for the associated population.

Summary: The study sampled corn, soybean, and cotton seeds from different agricultural regions in Brazil to monitor glyphosate residues levels and its metabolite. The results showed that glyphosate residues levels in genetically modified crops were within the Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) established by regulations.
