SnO2/Bi2O3/NF heterojunction with ordered macro/meso-pore structure as an advanced binder-free anode for lithium ion batteries

Ruili Zhang et al.

Summary: A three-dimensional ordered inverse opal heterojunction structure of SnO2/Bi2O3 was fabricated, exhibiting excellent electrochemical activity and stable cycle performance. The interconnected macroporous and mesoporous structures can shorten the transmission path of ions/electrons and buffer volume expansion, while the heterojunction structure promotes the contact between electrode material and electrolyte. The product has great potential as an anode material for next-generation LIBs.

Tunable Conjugated Porous Polymers with Cyano-Containing Organic Molecules as Anode Materials for High-Performance Li-Ion Batteries

Yu-Qing Cai et al.

Summary: Nitrogen-containing organic compounds have great potential for energy storage, but their solubility and polarization in the electrolyte limit their performance. In this study, 1,2,4,5-tetracyanobenzene was used as an anode and precursor to improve the electrochemical performance. The cyano groups, -C=N groups, and π conjugation between benzene rings were identified as the active centers for Li+ storage. The conjugated porous polymer showed better cycling stability and rate capability.
