Exosomes from tendon derived stem cells promote tendon repair through miR-144-3p-regulated tenocyte proliferation and migration

Kai Song et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of exosomes from tendon derived stem cells (TDSC-Exos) on tendon repair and explores the underlying mechanism involving microRNAs (miRNAs). The results show that TDSC-Exos can enhance tendon repair through the regulation of miR-144-3p, which promotes tenocyte proliferation and migration. This suggests that TDSC-Exos could be a promising strategy for treating tendon injuries.

Exosomes derived from tendon stem cells promote cell proliferation and migration through the TGF β signal pathway

Mingda Li et al.

Summary: This study explored the effects of tendon stem cell-derived exosomes (TSC-exo) on tendon stem cells (TSCs), finding that TSC-exo were enriched in transforming growth factor beta (TGF beta) which accelerated the proliferation and migration of TSCs. Additionally, TGF beta carried by TSC-exo activated the TGF beta-Smad2/3 and ERK1/2 signaling pathways in TSCs, ultimately regulating the downstream molecule MMP2.

Stretch-Induced Tenomodulin Expression Promotes Tenocyte Migration via F-Actin and Chromatin Remodeling

Pu Xu et al.

Summary: The study implicates the mechanosensitive gene Tnmd in the regulation of tenocyte migration, with its expression being regulated by mechanical loading and actin stress fiber formation as well as chromatin decondensation. This novel role of Tnmd in tenocyte migration sheds light on the molecular mechanisms involved in Tnmd-mediated tendon repair.

Exosome-eluting stents for vascular healing after ischaemic injury

Shiqi Hu et al.

Summary: Stents releasing exosomes derived from mesenchymal stem cells can enhance vascular healing in rats by promoting endothelial cell formation and proliferation, and inhibiting smooth muscle cell migration. Compared to drug-eluting stents and bare-metal stents, exosome-coated stents accelerate re-endothelialization and reduce restenosis.
