An experimental study on mechanical behavior and failure mechanism of sleeved fasteners and conventional bolt for composite interference-fit joints

Guanhua Xu et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the impact of different fasteners on the mechanical behavior and failure mechanism of composite interference-fit joints. Results indicate that interference-fit with sleeved fasteners significantly improves bearing performance in joints, with initial failure load and ultimate bearing strength being higher than conventional bolts.

Experimental study on the static performance of arched aluminium alloy gusset joints

Jinzhi Wu et al.

Summary: This study designed and conducted static performance experiments to investigate the ultimate bearing capacity and stiffness of arched aluminum alloy gusset joints, exploring the effects of different arch angles on joint performance. By comparing experimental and finite element model analyses, the study highlights the importance of arch angles on joint performance.

Performance of freeform single-layer assembled reticulated shells with double-ring joints

Ruoqiang Feng et al.

Summary: Through experimental and numerical studies, it was found that the reticulated shell with double-ring joints does not damage the joints when the structure fails, with a buckling capacity of about 70% of the rigidly jointed shell. The nonlinear buckling capacity and initial stiffness of the reticulated shell with double-ring joints are approximately 66% of that of the rigidly jointed shell.

An improved adaptive web sampling method for node deviation inspection of single-layer latticed shells

Yunsong Li et al.

Summary: The study introduces an improved adaptive web sampling (IAWS) method based on node positional deviation aggregation, which includes supplementary sampling to enhance sampling accuracy, suitable for structural inspection of single-layer latticed shells.
