Hierarchical core-shell FeS2/Fe7S8@C microspheres embedded into interconnected graphene framework for high-efficiency microwave attenuation

Summary: With the growing dominance of high-tech electronic products, the development of high-efficiency electromagnetic wave absorption materials is crucial. In this study, a FeS2/Fe7S8@C@rGO composite with a core-shell heterostructure was successfully prepared using rational component regulation and structural design. The composite demonstrated superior impedance matching, multi-loss mechanisms, and a three-dimensional hierarchical structure, leading to significant attenuation of incident electromagnetic waves and effective absorption of a broad bandwidth of electromagnetic waves.

Ti3C2Tx MXene@NiFe layered double hydroxide derived multiple interfacial composites with efficient microwave absorption

Summary: In this study, Ti3C2Tx MXene@NiFe-layered double hydroxide (NiFe-LDH) derived multi-interfacial FeNi3/TiN@nitrogen-doped carbon (NC)@magnetic multiwalled carbon nanotube composites were prepared using a hydrothermal process and subsequent carbothermal reduction. The phase compositions, morphology, defects, and electromagnetic parameters of the composites can be adjusted by the thermal treatment temperature. The composites exhibit high reflection loss and effective absorption bandwidth, making them promising microwave absorption materials.

Hollow ZnO/ZnFe2O4 microspheres anchored graphene aerogels as a high-efficiency microwave absorber with thermal insulation and hydrophobic performances

3D lamellar skeletal network of porous carbon derived from hull of water chestnut with excellent microwave absorption properties

Summary: A 3D lamellar skeletal network porous carbon material was successfully obtained from water chestnut hull using biomass waste as raw material. The optimized morphology of biomass carbon was achieved and its microwave absorption properties were investigated. The porous carbon material with a filling ratio of 35% could effectively absorb the bandwidth of 6.0 GHz (12-18 GHz) at a matching thickness of 1.90 mm, covering the whole Ku band. The surface defects, inter-face polarization, and dipole polarization of the 3D porous skeleton network structure derived from water chestnut hull contribute to the excellent reflection loss and bandwidth of the porous carbon material.

Preparation of Three-Dimensional Mo2C/NC@MXene and Its Efficient Electromagnetic Absorption Properties

Summary: In this study, positively charged MoO3/PDA microspheres and negatively charged MXene nanosheets wrapped on the surface were obtained using the principle of electrostatic self-assembly. The effects of the ratio between MoO3/PDA and MXene nanosheets and loading amount on microwave absorption properties were investigated. The Mo2C/NC@MXene-2 sample obtained at a ratio of 3:1 and 25% loading showed the best absorption performance.

However, constructing efficient biomass-based absorbers with hierarchical and multi-component micro-nanoarchitecture remains a great challenge. In this study, a novel Co@mesoporous C/macroporous C sheet hybrid was successfully prepared, which exhibited a unique 3D micro-nanostructure with larger specific surface area, rich heterogeneous interfaces, massive defects, and multi-level porosity.

Enhanced properties of CoS2/Cu2S embedded N/S co-doped mesh-like carbonaceous composites for electromagnetic wave absorption

Summary: CoS2/Cu2S embedded N/S co-doped mesh-like carbonaceous composites with enhanced electromagnetic wave absorbing performance were successfully prepared by freeze-drying and high-temperature carbonization using carboxymethyl cellulose hydrogel spheres as starting materials. The newly designed three-dimensional mesh-like structures embedded with CoS2 and Cu2S nanoparticles facilitate multiple reflections and scattering of electromagnetic waves, contributing to the enhancement of electron transport and magnetic coupling, thus improving the electromagnetic wave loss.

Heterostructure design of MOFs derived Co9S8/FeCoS2/C composite with efficient microwave absorption and waterproof functions
