Preparation and characterization of modified amphiphilic nano-silica for enhanced oil recovery

Preparation of porous silica from natural chlorite via selective acid leaching and its application in methylene blue adsorption

Summary: Highly porous silica with controllable pore sizes and specific surface areas was prepared by selectively leaching thermally activated chlorite. The Al-27 MAS NMR spectra revealed the relationship between structural transformation and selective acid leaching properties of the activated chlorite. The as-prepared porous silica showed promising adsorption abilities, making it potentially suitable for adsorption applications.
