Review of extraction and detection techniques for the analysis of pesticide residues in fruits to evaluate food safety and make legislative decisions: Challenges and anticipations

To ensure food safety, monitoring of pesticide residues in fruits is necessary, and the development of efficient analytical procedures for pesticide residue detection is critical. This review provides an overview of the evolution of extraction and detection methods for pesticide residue analysis in fruits and aims to help analysts understand the need for new analytical methodologies to comply with current standards and protect consumers.

In-field deployable and facile nanosensor for the detection of pesticides residues

The study aims to contribute to disease prevention, food safety, and ecosystem protection.

Development of QuEChERS-based multiresidue analytical methods to determine pesticides in corn, grapes and alfalfa

Summary: Analytical methods based on QuEChERS and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry were developed for the determination of 42 polar and semi-polar pesticides in three representative vegetable matrices, and validated for their linearity, sensitivity, true-ness, and precision. The methods showed good recovery rates and low limits of detection, and were successfully applied to analyze real samples.

Integrated QuEChERS strategy for high-throughput multi-pesticide residues analysis of vegetables

The optimized method showed clear advantages in operating procedure, sample pretreatment time, and reagent dosages compared to the conventional method, while achieving equivalent pesticide recoveries and matrix effects. This approach demonstrated wide applicability and versatility for analyzing multiple pesticide residues in vegetable samples, providing a greener and more efficient design concept for pesticide residue analysis.
