Potential Adverse Effect of Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) on Bisphosphonate Efficacy: An Exploratory Post Hoc Analysis From a Randomized Controlled Trial of Clodronate

Zhangan Zheng et al.

Summary: This study explores the relationship between nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and fracture risk and finds that the use of NSAIDs is associated with an increased risk of osteoporotic fractures. Furthermore, NSAIDs may diminish the efficacy of bisphosphonate treatment in reducing fracture risk.
