Carbon felt/nitrogen-doped graphene/paraffin wax 3D skeleton regulated tribological performances of the MCPA6 composites: A novel strategy of oil embedding and transporting

Hongyu Liu et al.

Summary: A novel carbon felt/nitrogen-doped reduced graphene oxide/paraffin wax ternary skeleton (CF/N-RGO/PW) is developed to enhance the tribological performances of monomer casting nylon-6 (MCPA6). The CF/N-RGO/PW skeleton exhibits a pond and ditch structure for the efficient storage and transportation of paraffin wax, resulting in significantly reduced friction coefficient and wear loss compared to neat MCPA6. Theoretical calculations support the efficient adsorption of paraffin wax onto N-RGO.

Room-temperature self-healing supramolecular polyurethanes based on the synergistic strengthening of biomimetic hierarchical hydrogen-bonding interactions and coordination bonds

Jing Xu et al.

Summary: In this study, a series of updated supramolecular polyurethanes were successfully synthesized by incorporating hierarchical hydrogen-bonding motifs into the polymer matrix and subsequently coordinated with Zn(2+) ions. The resulting supramolecular elastomers exhibited superior mechanical properties compared to previously reported room-temperature self-healing materials. Additionally, a bilayer polymer film with a gradient distribution was fabricated, which achieved rapid self-healing at ambient temperature.
