Summary: The study found that the secondary vector Orientus ishidae and the host plant Alnus glutinosa may not play a significant role in the epidemics of Flavescence dorée in southern Switzerland. However, wild vegetation acts as a reservoir for the FDp inoculum, which could potentially trigger an outbreak of Flavescence dorée locally if populations of Scaphoideus titanus are established in vineyards.
