Construction of oxygen-vacancy abundant Co3O4 nanorods for high- performance solid-state supercapacitor

Summary: In this work, a green and efficient strategy was developed to enhance the electrochemical performance of electrode materials for supercapacitors through engineering the nanostructure and oxygen vacancies. The resulting one-dimensional Co3O4 nanorods with abundant oxygen vacancies exhibited high specific capacity and excellent rate capacity. Furthermore, the asymmetric supercapacitor constructed with these nanorods as electrode materials showed high energy density.

High-performance solid-state asymmetric supercapacitor based on Co3V2O8/carbon nanotube nanocomposite and gel polymer electrolyte

Summary: Binary metal oxides, such as Co3V2O8, hold great promise in various fields due to their tunable properties and high stabilities. By utilizing a Co3V2O8/CNT nanocomposite with porous structure as the positive electrode material, solid-state supercapacitors can achieve an extraordinary specific capacitance of 1959.92 F g(-1) at a current density of 1 A g(-1). The hybrid asymmetric solid-state device constructed with Co3V2O8/CNT as positive electrode shows a specific capacitance of 120.17 F g(-1) and excellent cycling stability with 95.26% retention after 3000 cycles.

NiMoO4 nanosheets grown on MOF-derived leaf-like Co3O4 nanosheet arrays for high-performance supercapacitors
