Fully Scalable and Stable CsPbI2Br Solar Cells Realized by an All-Spray-Coating Process

David Sunghwan Lee et al.

Summary: This study successfully spray-coats the hole transporting layer (HTL) in fully scalable n-i-p-type metal halide perovskite (MHP) solar cells, achieving high efficiencies and scalability while ensuring uniform coverage and efficient charge extraction. By spray-coating all layers except the Au electrode, high efficiencies are achieved for CsPbI2Br unit cells and submodules, and an all-spray-coating process is demonstrated for submodules.

Ultra-bright, efficient and stable perovskite light-emitting diodes

Joo Sung Kim et al.

Summary: This study reports the development of ultra-bright, efficient, and stable light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) made of core/shell perovskite nanocrystals. The nanocrystals, obtained through in situ reaction of benzylphosphonic acid with polycrystalline perovskite films, demonstrate strong carrier confinement and maintain good charge-transport properties.

Surface engineering with oxidized Ti3C2Tx MXene enables efficient and stable p-i-n-structured CsPbI3 perovskite solar cells

Jin Hyuck Heo et al.

Summary: Surface engineering of the CsPbI3 layer with oxidized Ti3C2Tx MXene nanoplates via spray coatings resulted in highly efficient and stable p-i-n-structured CsPbI3 perovskite solar cells. The addition of OMXene provided a physical barrier against moisture and improved charge separation at the perovskite-electron transporting layer interface, leading to the demonstration of efficient CsPbI3/OMXene-based p-i-n devices with good stability.

Spray-coated nanocrystalline CsPbBr3 perovskite thin-films for large area and efficient rigid and flexible light emitting diodes

Jin Kyoung Park et al.

Summary: Large area and efficient CsPbBr3 perovskite light emitting diodes (PeLEDs) were successfully fabricated by a commercializable spray-coating method. The PeLEDs exhibited excellent optoelectronic performance and controlled crystal grain size. Both rigid and flexible PeLEDs based on glass and polymer substrates were demonstrated. Moreover, the PeLEDs with controlled crystal grain size could generate electric power under daylight conditions, similar to solar cells.

Fully Scalable and Stable CsPbI2Br Solar Cells Realized by an All-Spray-Coating Process

David Sunghwan Lee et al.

Summary: Spray-coating technique is a scalable and time-efficient method for developing large-area metal halide perovskite solar cells (MHP). In this study, the researchers present a reliable strategy of spray-coating the hole transporting layer (HTL) using MoO2 nanoparticles and poly-(triarylamine) (PTAA) binders to ensure uniform coverage and efficient charge extraction. By spray-coating all layers except the Au electrode, they achieve high and scalable efficiencies for CsPbI2Br unit cells and submodules. Additionally, they demonstrate good long-term stability of the submodules under damp heat conditions.

Comprehensive defect suppression in perovskite nanocrystals for high-efficiency light-emitting diodes

Young-Hoon Kim et al.

Summary: In this study, a one-dopant alloying strategy was employed to enhance electroluminescence efficiencies of metal halide perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) by reducing defect formation and enhancing charge carrier confinement. Surface-stabilizing agents and bromide vacancy healing agents were utilized to decrease defect density and improve carrier confinement, resulting in significant enhancement in performance.

Efficient and Stable Graded CsPbI3-xBrx Perovskite Solar Cells and Submodules by Orthogonal Processable Spray Coating

Jin Hyuck Heo et al.

Summary: In this study, inorganic CsPbI2Br-based perovskite thin films with a well-defined CsPbI3-xBrx composition gradient were fabricated using a scalable and orthogonal processable spray-coating approach. The graded structure broadened the absorption wavelength range, increased carrier lifetime, and improved charge separation and collection efficiency within a device stack. The power conversion efficiency reached 16.81% for a 0.096-cm(2) PSC, and a monolithically integrated perovskite sub-module achieved an efficiency of 13.82% with less than 9% degradation over 1,000 hours of continuous 1-sun light soaking.

Distribution control enables efficient reduced-dimensional perovskite LEDs

Dongxin Ma et al.

Summary: By using a fluorinated triphenylphosphine oxide additive to control cation diffusion and passivate surfaces, the efficiency and operating lifetimes of perovskite light-emitting diodes have been improved. Although reduced-dimensional perovskites show promise in increasing stability and photoluminescence quantum yield, challenges such as lower EQEs and inferior color purities remain.
