Mesoporous g-C3N4 has been obtained by a facile sucrose-mediated approach via thermal condensation of sucrose and melamine for the first time. Themesoporous g-C3N4 presents a much higher BET surface area and displays highly enhanced photocatalytic H-2 evolution performance.
