Robust control of water quality in horizontal sub-surface flow wetlands using decentralized quantitative feedback theory based controller

Experimental validation of disturbance observer-based adaptive terminal sliding mode control subject to control input limitations for SISO and MIMO systems

Summary: This paper presents an adaptive, robust, and finite time control technique for both MIMO and SISO systems. The design incorporates considerations of disturbances and control input limitations. Controllers and disturbance observers are designed based on a finite time sliding mode strategy. The proposed control scheme and disturbance observer are proven to be stable and converge in finite time using Lyapunov stability theory. Numerical simulations and a hardware-in-the-loop test demonstrate the effective performance of the proposed controller for uncertain chaotic systems. The results also show that implementing continuous functions in the controller design reduces chattering in practical applications.

MTN output feedback tracking control for MIMO discrete-time uncertain nonlinear systems

Summary: An adaptive controller based on the multidimensional Taylor network is developed for multi-input and multi-output uncertain discrete-time nonlinear systems. The theoretical analysis shows that the output errors of the system are convergent and the output signals are semi-globally, uniformly and ultimately bounded. Simulation data demonstrate that this controller has better real-time performance and higher robustness compared with neural networks.
