Distributed Event-Triggered Consensus of General Linear Multiagent Systems Under Directed Graphs

Yonghui Wu et al.

Summary: This article investigates the consensus problem of general linear multiagent systems under directed communication graphs with event-triggered mechanisms. A novel distributed static event-triggered mechanism and a distributed dynamic event-triggered mechanism are proposed to address the consensus problem, providing reduced use of system resources compared with existing control algorithms. Numerical simulations are presented to verify the effectiveness of the results.

Robust Cooperative Output Regulation of Heterogeneous Uncertain Linear Multiagent Systems With Unbounded Distributed Transmission Delays

Cong Bi et al.

Summary: This article studies the robust cooperative output regulation problem of heterogeneous uncertain linear multiagent systems under unbounded distributed transmission delays. A novel distributed observer is proposed to estimate the state of an exosystem in the presence of unbounded distributed transmission delays. Two novel distributed controllers, one based on state feedback and the other based on output feedback, are developed without any prior knowledge of the unbounded transmission delays. The resulting closed-loop multiagent systems can achieve robust cooperative output regulation and show better transient performance compared to existing low-gain controllers. The proposed controllers can be directly applied to solve various multiagent system problems with different transmission delay characteristics. A simulation example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed controllers.

Observer-Based Output Feedback Event-Triggered Adaptive Control for Linear Multiagent Systems Under Switching Topologies

Juan Zhang et al.

Summary: This article studies the consensus problem of general linear multiagent systems under switching topologies using observer-based event-triggered control method. Two novel event-triggered adaptive control schemes are designed based on output information to achieve consensus problems without utilizing global information of communication networks. Simulation examples demonstrate convergence of consensus error to zero and elimination of Zeno behavior in MASs. One significant advantage of the proposed methods compared to existing output feedback control research is their independence from global information, scalability, and fully distributed nature.

Some necessary and sufficient conditions for containment of second-order multi-agent systems with intermittent sampled data

Yifan Liu et al.

Summary: This paper introduces two novel sampled data containment control protocols for second-order multi-agent systems with periodic intermittent communication. Necessary and sufficient conditions are obtained for both protocols with or without time delay. It is shown that containment control can be achieved in both cases, and the smaller the time delay, the easier it is to calculate the interval of the appropriate sampling period. The theoretical results are verified through simulations.

Summary: This article introduces a novel dynamic event-triggered mechanism which excludes Zeno behavior through internal dynamic variables, achieving leader-following consensus in linear multiagent systems. Numerical simulations demonstrate that this strategy can reduce communication more effectively.
