Annual distributions of insecticide-treated nets to schoolchildren and other key populations to maintain higher ITN access than with mass campaigns: a modelling study for mainland Tanzania

Hannah Koenker et al.

Summary: This study used a modeling approach to predict ITN access under different distribution strategies in mainland Tanzania. The results showed that by combining school-based distributions with reproductive and child health (RCH) distributions and quantifying the coverage using a population times 15% approach, ITN access could be maintained at 80-90%. However, mass campaigns conducted every 5 years or every 3 years would require more ITNs to achieve the target level.
