This research focused on producing non-toxic and environmentally friendly silver nanoparticles through the biological reduction using plant leaves extract of Cassia Alata, a medicinal plant in India. Various techniques were used to analyze the biogenic synthesis of nanoparticles, and the reaction conditions were adjusted to achieve optimal formation of silver nanoparticles. The resulting nanoparticles exhibited stable, spherical, and crystalline structures. They also demonstrated superior catalytic properties in the reduction of MB compared to other organic compounds.
Our research primarily concentrated on the production of silver nanoparticles that are non-toxic, environmental friendly, biological reduction by using plant leaves extract of Cassia Alata, an abundant medicinal plant in India's southern region. The biogenic synthesis of nanoparticle was analysed by using UV, FTIR, XRD, HRTEM, DLS, SEAD and XPS techniques. The reaction conditions of silver nanoparticles formation were modified with respect to silver nitrate, concentrations of plant leaves extract, pH, ambient temperature and extent of contact times. The colourless reaction mixtures turned golden yellow colour and showed an electronic transition spectra properties of silver nanoparticles formation. HRTEM studies revealed the as produced Ag nanoparticles were stable, sphereshaped, and crystalline with the constituent part size of 50 nm and majority of silver nanosized particles after short extent of contact times. X-ray diffraction analysis also established the presence of silver nanoparticles. Vibrational Spectroscopy denoted the existence of various functional groups in the development of silver nanoparticles. Silver nanoparticles show reduction of nitro compound decolouration of various organic and the catalytic decomposition reaction was accomplished in 5.0 min, indicating that silver nanoparticles have superior catalytic properties in the reduction of MB when compared to MO (9.0 min) and R6G. (15.2 min). The order of Photocatalytic dye decolouration by using AgNPs solution were MB > MO > R6G.
