Luminescent properties and recent progress in applications of lanthanide metal-organic frameworks

Summary: Lanthanide metal-organic frameworks (Ln-MOFs) are important components of luminescent MOFs, possessing characteristics such as good porosity, topological diversity, high surface area, and highly adjustable structure. Ln-MOFs have significant applications in chemical and biological sensors, optical information devices, and catalysis. However, there is a lack of systematic reviews on the various applications of Ln-MOFs. This paper summarizes the latest progress in Ln-MOFs applications, discusses the design mechanism, and provides prospects for potential issues in current research.

Influence of pseudo-polymorphism on the structure and thermal behavior of the new barium β-diketonate complexes [Ba(adtfa)2(18-crown-6)] and [Ba(adtfa)2(18-crown-6)](CDCl3)2

Summary: In this study, two new barium beta-diketonate complexes were synthesized and characterized using various analytical techniques. It was found that the mutual arrangement of the beta-diketonate ligands relative to the barium atoms differed between the two complexes, and the less favorable conformation was stabilized in the crystal through higher energy of intermolecular interactions.

Lanthanide-MOFs as multifunctional luminescent sensors

Summary: In this study, five isostructural lanthanide metal-organic frameworks were synthesized and shown to have excellent processability and multifunctional luminescent characteristics. One of the compounds also demonstrated excellent temperature sensing performance. Additionally, two of the compounds were found to be fluorescent sensors for detecting multiple substances.
