Highly optically selective polyethylene porous films as versatile optical shields for daytime radiative cooling applications

Di Cao et al.

Summary: In this study, a thin porous film was developed as an optical shield for radiative cooling devices, achieving high solar reflectance and infrared transmittance. The film exhibited significant cooling effect under direct sunlight even without optimizing the infrared emitting material and thermal insulation design. The preparation method has the potential for large-scale production and expands the options for infrared emitters.
