Edge intelligence-driven digital twin of CNC system: Architecture and deployment

Haoyu Yu et al.

Summary: In recent years, digital twin technology has become the primary method for achieving the intelligence of CNC systems. However, with the development of next-generation information technologies such as AI and its wide application in CNC systems, the limitation of computing power and network resources has become an urgent problem. To address this, a theoretical modeling method based on hierarchical structure is proposed, along with the introduction of edge intelligence technology and the development of model partitioning and selection algorithms to support real-time model response during deployment. An application case of an edge intelligence-driven DT for CNC systems is also provided to diagnose and predict tool wear during machining processes.

A decentralized trust management mechanism for crowdfunding

Yang Xu et al.

Summary: Crowdfunding is a method of raising funds from the public for individual or organizational projects, which relies on gaining the trust of backers for success. However, fraudulent crowdfunding projects are prevalent on crowdfunding platforms. Although some platforms use third-party auditors for project verification, collusion risks exist. The introduction of blockchain has improved transparency in crowdfunding, but lacks fraud prevention measures. This study proposes a blockchain-based trust management mechanism for crowdfunding, introducing an auditor committee for credible project auditing and a random selection algorithm for committee generation, along with incentives for accurate audits.
