Summary: In recent years, digital twin technology has become the primary method for achieving the intelligence of CNC systems. However, with the development of next-generation information technologies such as AI and its wide application in CNC systems, the limitation of computing power and network resources has become an urgent problem. To address this, a theoretical modeling method based on hierarchical structure is proposed, along with the introduction of edge intelligence technology and the development of model partitioning and selection algorithms to support real-time model response during deployment. An application case of an edge intelligence-driven DT for CNC systems is also provided to diagnose and predict tool wear during machining processes.

Summary: Smart cities have emerged globally in the past decade, utilizing big data and the internet of things to enhance monitoring and integration of infrastructure systems, resulting in more efficient, livable, and sustainable cities. However, the increased vulnerability of big data to attacks and the implementation of stricter regulations for protecting user data present significant privacy and security challenges. Federated learning has gained attention as a method to address these challenges by distributing learning over decentralized data, providing privacy protection and artificial intelligence advantages. This study reviews the application of federated learning in smart city systems and discusses its benefits, drawbacks, research issues, and future directions, emphasizing the need for comprehensive testing to improve data protection and performance in smart cities.

Summary: Crowdfunding is a method of raising funds from the public for individual or organizational projects, which relies on gaining the trust of backers for success. However, fraudulent crowdfunding projects are prevalent on crowdfunding platforms. Although some platforms use third-party auditors for project verification, collusion risks exist. The introduction of blockchain has improved transparency in crowdfunding, but lacks fraud prevention measures. This study proposes a blockchain-based trust management mechanism for crowdfunding, introducing an auditor committee for credible project auditing and a random selection algorithm for committee generation, along with incentives for accurate audits.

Summary: This work presents an IoT architecture for detecting anomalies in motors with vibration sensors using a real-time autoencoder and a new bio-inspired control architecture. Unlike other approaches, the behavior of the anomaly detection system is analyzed in real time, aiming to meet the new requirements for real-time processing and scalability in control systems. An implemented neural network controls anomalies based on a bio-inspired architecture and achieves anomaly detection in the time domain through evaluating different models based on recurrent neural networks. In addition, the latency of each system component is evaluated to identify possible bottlenecks in real-time operation. The system is implemented on a prototype conveyor belt using low-cost accelerometers, commercial-use microcontrollers, and free software.
