This study discussed the feasibility of preparing hydrophobic paper packaging materials using soybean residue nanocellulose as coating. A hydrophobic coating with soybean residue nanocellulose waterproof agent was prepared by chemical modification, and super hydrophobic coated paper was prepared by coating technology. The results show that the water contact angle of the coated paper is greater than 150 degrees, indicating its excellent wear resistance and mechanical properties. Soaking in daily common drinks will not affect its waterproof property, thus offering a foundation for the development of liquid packaging and the production of green degradable waterproof agents.
The increased use of petroleum-based plastics as food packaging materials has led to serious problems due to its non-biodegradability. The results show that the water contact angle of the coated paper is greater than 150 degrees, and it has excellent wear resistance and mechanical properties. When the waterproof coated paper is folded repeatedly, the water contact angle of the material does not change significantly at high and low temperatures or other adverse means, indicating that it has certain stability. Soaking in daily common drinks will not affect its waterproof property, so this material provides a foundation for the development of liquid packaging and provides a feasibility for the production of green degradable waterproof agent.
