Suman Kundu et al.

Summary: A high-performance visible-blind UV photodetector using 1D supramolecular nanofibers is reported, exhibiting high responsivity, selectivity, low power consumption, and good mechanical flexibility. The device performance is improved through tweaking electronic and ionic conduction pathways and optimizing electrode material, external humidity, applied voltage bias, and introducing additional ions. The nanofiber system shows great potential for integration in future electronic gadgets.

Highly Responsive Al/PTB7/Si/Al Vertical Structure-Based White Light Photodetector Using FTM Method

Jogendra Singh Rana et al.

Summary: This letter presents the fabrication and characterization of a p-type polymer (PTB7) thin film based vertical structure for white light detection application. The PTB7 thin film was deposited using a low-cost and facile floating-film transfer method. The device exhibited a maximum responsivity of approximately 146.13 mA/W and detectivity of approximately 4.137 x 10(10) Jones under a reverse bias of -2 V and white light intensity of approximately 0.228 mW/cm(2). The rise/fall time of the device was measured as approximately 0.016/0.112 s.

A novel approach for designing efficient broadband photodetectors expanding from deep ultraviolet to near infrared

Nan Ding et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a broadband photodetector constructed using ultraviolet luminescent concentrators, iodine-based perovskite quantum dots, and organic bulk heterojunctions. Experimental and theoretical results show that doping CsPbI3 PQDs with Er3+ can significantly improve their optoelectronic properties and stability. The photodetector shows high detectivity and stability in the UV and NIR regions.

Hybrid CsPbBr3 quantum dots decorated two dimensional MoO3 nanosheets photodetectors with enhanced performance

Dong Jin Lee et al.

Summary: High crystalline MoO3 nanosheets were obtained through a vapor phase epitaxy method and used to fabricate a photodetector with striking photoresponse. Introducing CsPbBr3 quantum dots significantly enhanced the photocurrent of MoO3 devices, leading to high responsivity and broad spectral response from UV to visible light. The study suggests that CsPbBr3 QDs/MoO3 hybrids hold promise for broad band photodetectors and other optoelectronic devices.

Self-Powered Solar-Blind Photodetectors Based on α-Ga2O3 Nanorod Arrays

Baohua Zhang et al.

Summary: Low power consumption, high sensitivity, and miniaturization are important features for future photonic systems. A self-powered and solar-blind photodetector based on alpha-Ga2O3 nanorod arrays was successfully fabricated in this study. The photodetector exhibited superior photoresponsivity, high I-photo/I-dark ratio, and fast photoresponse rise and decay times, outperforming reported photodetectors. The outstanding crystal quality of the alpha-Ga2O3 nanorod arrays and effective separation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs are responsible for the excellent performance of the photodetector.

In situ synthesis of high-quantum-efficiency and stable bromide-based blue-emitting perovskite nanoplatelets

Srinivasa Rao Pathipati et al.

Summary: We present a facile synthetic approach for the growth of two-dimensional CsPbBr3 nanoplatelets with high photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQY). The synthesized nanoplatelets have fewer defects and retain their initial PLQY after one month. Various experimental analyses confirm the structure and performance of the nanoplatelets.

Vacuum-assisted low-temperature growth of perovskite nanocrystals reaching near-unity photoluminescence quantum yield

Srinivasa Rao Pathipati

Summary: In this study, luminescent perovskite nanocrystals were successfully grown using a modified hot-injection method under reduced pressure at low temperatures, resulting in high-quality NCs with morphological and luminescent properties dependent on synthesis temperature. The average lifetime of charge carriers in PNCs was estimated from TRPL measurements to be 25-75ns, with nanocubes synthesized at 120 degrees C exhibiting nearly 100% PLQY within measurement error and excellent stability. Exposure to an ambient atmosphere led to the formation of Cs-rich by-product Cs4PbBr6, attributed to limited solubility of PbBr2 and ligand loss from the PNC surface during synthesis.

Highly luminescent CH3NH3PbBr3 quantum dots with 96.5% photoluminescence quantum yield achieved by synergistic combination of single-crystal precursor and capping ligand optimization

Kwonwoo Oh et al.

Summary: Inorganic-organic lead halide perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) show great potential for optoelectronic devices due to their high PLQY and tunable band gap. By using single-crystalline precursor and optimizing capping ligands, a near-unity PLQY of 96.5% and strong green emission were achieved. The highly luminescent PQDs obtained have few metallic Pb surface defects and reduced Stokes shifts, which is beneficial for future device applications.
