Narrow Weld Joint Recognition Method Based on Laser Profile Sensor

Weiming Li et al.

Summary: Intelligent manufacturing technology has seen rapid development, with robot welding systems playing a crucial role. Laser profile sensors are commonly used, but they struggle to detect narrow weld joint positions due to the deformation of the laser stripe. This study proposes a wide range of weld joint recognition algorithms based on the laser profile sensor, offering solutions for narrow weld joint identification and improving the robustness of recognizing conventional weld joints.

Single-shot 3D measurement of highly reflective objects with deep learning

Mingzhu Wan et al.

Summary: In this paper, a single-shot high dynamic range 3D measurement method combining FPP with deep learning is proposed. The method solves the overexposure problem in highly reflective areas by using a self-attention mechanism and improves measurement accuracy by predicting wrapped phase maps and absolute phase maps. Experiments showed that the proposed method accurately predicted the optimal exposure time under single-shot condition.

Chessboard-Like High-Frequency Patterns for 3D Measurement of Reflective Surface

Zaixing He et al.

Summary: This article introduces a novel structured-light 3D measurement technique that works in the presence of reflective highlights, focusing on designing chessboard-like coding schema and crossover-based decoding schemes. By utilizing high-frequency patterns and extracting crossover positions using an inverse-pattern method, the proposed method effectively suppresses surface reflections and enhances measurement accuracy. Extensive experiments demonstrate the high performance of the method with minimal overhead.

Hardware-Oriented Algorithm for High-Speed Laser Centerline Extraction Based on Hessian Matrix

Zhikai Li et al.

Summary: This article proposes a hardware-oriented algorithm based on the Hessian matrix for fast and accurate extraction of a laser centerline, which is divided into three low-coupling modules for parallel processing. By extracting features from the region of interest (ROI) and calculating the Hessian matrix, the algorithm achieves subpixel precision positioning of the laser center point.
