Indocyanine Green-Conjugated Superparamagnetic Iron Oxide Nanoworm for Multimodality Breast Cancer Imaging

Chia-Wei Yang et al.

Summary: Breast cancer is a major cause of cancer-related deaths in women, and there is an urgent need for non-invasive detection and imaging techniques. Multimodality breast cancer imaging, using indocyanine green-conjugated superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoworms, shows promising results in providing more accurate cancer detection and imaging. The nanoworms offer large tumor to normal tissue contrasts in multiple imaging modalities, making them an attractive platform for non-invasive breast cancer diagnosis.
