Intelligent Jamming Strategies for Secure Spectrum Sharing Systems

Xiao Jiang et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the secrecy performance of a spectrum sharing network and proposes two intelligent jamming strategies to improve the physical layer security. Numerical results show that the secrecy performance of the optimal jammer selection scheme is better than the suboptimal jammer selection scheme and non-jammer selection scheme in the low channel power gain region.

Jamming-Assisted Legitimate Eavesdropping and Secure Communication in Multicarrier Interference Networks

Ding Xu et al.

Summary: This article investigates legitimate eavesdropping and secure communication in a multicarrier interference network, where a suspicious link coexists with an unsuspicious link, in the presence of a full-duplex monitor. The problem is to maximize the eavesdropping probability of the monitor by jointly allocating transmit powers of the monitor and the unsuspicious users while ensuring a low secrecy outage probability.

Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access Assisted Secure Computation Offloading via Cooperative Jamming

Yuan Wu et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the secure computation offloading problem using non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) under eavesdropping attacks. The study focuses on reliable pairing of edge-computing users (EUs) and wireless users (WUs) for cooperative jamming to enhance data security. The proposed algorithm achieves stable and fair pairing, considering the energy consumption and latency requirements. The results demonstrate the advantage of NOMA-assisted computation offloading via cooperative jamming.

Estimation of Receiver Frequency Deviations in Multifunction Frequency-Modulating Transceivers

Micael Bernhardt et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a multifunction transceiver based on the frequency-modulated continuous-waveform concept to suppress self-interference. Accurate compensation of frequency deviations in received signals is crucial for processing the received information. The proposed method estimates these deviations by estimating the relative time delay between the signals used for downconversion and compensation, relying on statistics of the received signal and a generic auxiliary signal.

Towards a Unified Framework for Physical Layer Security in 5G and Beyond Networks

Muhammad Sohaib J. Solaija et al.

Summary: Wireless systems have become increasingly important in our lives, and traditional cryptographic security mechanisms are unable to meet the needs of decentralized and heterogeneous networks. Physical layer security provides a promising complementary solution to ensure reliable and secure transmission by exploiting the dynamic characteristics of the wireless environment. This paper provides a comprehensive framework for physical layer security that includes existing research and paves the way for the development of next-generation methods. Additionally, the importance of physical layer security in emerging technologies such as joint sensing and communication, vehicular communication, non-terrestrial networks, millimeter-wave, and terahertz communication is highlighted, along with identified key challenges and directions for future mechanisms.
