Agreement between swept-source optical biometry and Scheimpflug-based topography measurements of posterior corneal curvature

Bulent Kose

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the agreement of posterior corneal curvature parameters between two devices in healthy, myopic eyes. The results showed significant differences between the two devices, indicating that they cannot be used interchangeably for measuring posterior corneal curvature.

Comparison of two new integrated SS-OCT tomography and biometry devices

Nir Sorkin et al.

Summary: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the agreement in biometry measurements and intraocular lens (IOL) power calculations between two integrated swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) devices: the Eyestar 900 and the Anterion. The results showed excellent agreement and correlation between the devices for most measured variables, except for corneal diameter (CD). Agreement was found in IOL power calculations, with better results when using reflective anterior keratometry measurements from the Eyestar 900.

Repeatability and Comparison of Corneal Tomography in Mild to Severe Keratoconus Between the Anterior Segment OCT MS-39 and Pentacam HR

Theo G. Seiler et al.

Summary: This study investigated the repeatability of anterior segment OCT MS-39 and Pentacam HR in patients with keratoconus. The results showed that Pentacam HR measures steeper and thinner corneas compared to MS-39. The severity of keratoconus is associated with increased measurement errors and worse repeatability.

Comparison of corneal tomography using a novel swept-source optical coherence tomographer and rotating Scheimpflug system in normal and keratoconus eyes: repeatability and agreement analysis

Robert Herber et al.

Summary: This study compares the repeatability and agreement of corneal parameters measured by swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) and rotating Scheimpflug camera (RSC) in normal and keratoconus eyes. The results show that SS-OCT has highly repeatable measurements in both normal and keratoconus eyes, with better repeatability compared to RSC.

Evaluation of three biometric devices: ocular parameters and calculated intraocular lens power

Rivkah Lender et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the use of different biometry devices and a corneal topographer in cataract surgery. Strong correlations were found between the devices, but there were differences in some measurements. Additionally, substituting Pentacam K-values resulted in an increase in cylinder power.

Axial length measurement failure rates using optical biometry based on swept-source OCT in cataractous eyes

Pedro Tana-Rivero et al.

Summary: This study summarizes the outcomes of using swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) optical biometry for measuring axial length in cataractous eyes. The results show that SS-OCT optical biometry has a high success rate for axial length measurement, but there are cases where measurement is not possible, especially in eyes with mature or advanced cataracts.

Comparison of ocular biometric measurements in patients with cataract using three swept-source optical coherence tomography devices

Summary: This study assessed the agreement between three ocular biometric devices, ANTERION, CASIA2, and IOLMaster 700, showing that ANTERION and CASIA2 demonstrated good agreement with IOLMaster 700 except for total keratometry, whereas ANTERION and IOLMaster 700 had excellent agreement in measuring axial length.
