Simulations With the Marine Biogeochemistry Library (MARBL)

Matthew C. Long et al.

Summary: MARBL is a prognostic ocean biogeochemistry model coupled to CESM, simulating marine ecosystem dynamics and the cycles of carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, iron, silicon, and oxygen. While the model shows good agreement with observational data in many aspects, there are discrepancies in simulating anthropogenic CO2 uptake and oxygen minimum zones.
